Mr. Bohay has over 25 years’ experience in agricultural finance with background in banking. Prior to joining EFTA, he had previously worked as the Managing Director at PASS, where he introduced Agribusiness Innovation Centre for incubation of youth into agribusiness and founded PASS lease finance company to facilitate farmers access to agricultural equipment. He had also previously worked as Head of Agribusiness at CRDB Bank PLC, served as member in the investment committee of SAGCOT CTF, Tanzania Country Program Committee for EAGC, Board of Trustees of AGITF and Technical Advisory Panel at TaCRI. He holds Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) from University of Mysore, India and MBA from University of Leicester, U.K. and has extensive post graduate training from Kenyan School of Monetary Studies in Nairobi, Imperial College, London, Wits Business School, Johannesburg, and University of Cape Town, among others.

Prior to that he worked with the Pan African Auditors as External Auditor, with PRIDE Tanzania Ltd as the Senior Internal Auditor, and with PRIDE Rural Financing Window as the Head of Internal Audit. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Currently he is pursuing Masters of Business Administration with ESAMI Arusha.

Edward Memaneki is the Head of Finance at Equity For Tanzania Limited (EFTA), a position he has held since being promoted in early 2024. He joined EFTA in September 2022 as a Finance Manager, where he served for one and a half years before his promotion. Edward has over eight years of experience in finance and audit, showcasing a consistent progression of roles with increasing responsibilities. He began his career as an Associate Auditor at Ernst & Young (EY) Tanzania, where his exceptional performance earned him a double promotion to Senior Auditor, leading various audit assignments. He later transitioned to Tatepa Plc as a Financial Accountant and, within a short time, was promoted to Finance Manager, a role he held for several years before joining EFTA.Edward is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Public Practice, accredited by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), Tanzania. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Dar es Salaam, with an expected completion date of December 2025. To complement his professional expertise, Edward has attended various training programs, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and core finance and audit skills training in South Africa, Dubai and Nairobi. Ismail Matete is a professional in the finance and microfinance sectors, currently serving as the Recovery Manager at Equity for Tanzania Ltd (EFTA) since November 2024. With a robust background in branch management, investment analysis, and credit supervision, Ismail Matete has consistently demonstrated expertise in optimizing financial performance and enhancing client relationships.
Previously, Ismail Matete held the position of Branch Manager at EFTA's Arusha and Morogoro branches from June 2022 to November 2024, where he successfully managed branch operations, developed sales goals, and provided training to staff. As an Investment Officer at EFTA from February 2021 to May 2022, he conducted thorough appraisals of loan applications and managed a diverse portfolio of clients.
Before joining EFTA, Ismail Matete gained valuable experience as a Credit Supervisor at African Microfinance Limited, where he improved the company's portfolio quality and mentored loan officers. He also served as a Client Relationship Supervisor at FINCA Microfinance Bank, overseeing multiple branches and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Currently, I serve as the Procurement Manager at the company. This progression within EFTA reflects my ability to adapt and excel in new challenges, contributing significantly to the company's growth and success.
Before joining EFTA, Josephine gained valuable experience at BRAC International as a Branch Manager. There, she had the opportunity to develop women entrepreneurs in groups and refine her customer relationship skills within the financial sector.
